The app allows to handle massive inventory adjustments (i.e., end-of-year inventory).
A initial statement about the inventory process made available by Maximo/MAS: when a massive inventory operation is performed on Maximo/MAS, the involved Items balances are not automatically updated, in order to guarantee the maximum data security and consistency.
step 1: a temporary transaction is recorded, with double quantity ("accounting balance" and "physical balance detected")
step 2: only when the inventory results have been verified and validated, it's possible to align the two quantities (thus confirming the adjustments) by the "Update Balances" action.
To be compliant to the Maximo/MAS standard process, the app takes care of recording the temporary (step 1) transaction, with the two quantities, but does not allow to formally update them, operation which is solely delegated to a central operation, via Desktop.
Functionalities details
The following functionalities are available:
Inventory Perimeter Selection
It allows to define some global selection criteria, used to facilitate the User experience, restricting the item population to inventory (by storeroom, bin, minimum & maximum unitcost value).
Tap on the filter on and filter off icons to restrict or not the search to items that have not undergone a physical count in the last 30 days
Once filled, tap on the next button to continue
Item to be Inventoried List
It shows all the Items that meet the selection criteria set (filter on and filter off can also be used on this mask).
a swipe on the row desired makes available two option:
confirm the existing current balance
adjust the quantity
Quantity adjustment
New Physical Count and Remarks are missing and, saving, the transaction registration is done.
